Business Development Lead – GHG Accounting & Footprint Calculation Solutions
GREENIPATH is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Lead to grow and scale our GHG accounting and carbon footprint calculation solutions globally.
As part of GREENIPATH’s expanding sustainability advisory and climate solutions platform, this role will focus on developing the commercial strategy, go-to-market execution, and sales growth of our GHG accounting, emissions measurement, reporting, and footprint calculation services. GREENIPATH supports organizations in measuring, reducing, and reporting emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3 categories, while helping clients navigate evolving sustainability and regulatory requirements. We are looking for someone who comes directly with experience in GHG accounting, carbon footprint calculation, ESG reporting, climate-tech, or sustainability consulting solutions. The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of carbon accounting with strong commercial and leadership capabilities.
This is a hands-on business development leadership role for someone who can drive market expansion, build strategic partnerships, lead the go-to-market strategy, and manage the commercial team engaged in selling consulting and climate-related services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the business development activities for GREENIPATH ’s GHG accounting and footprint calculation solutions.
- Develop and execute the global go-to-market strategy for carbon accounting and sustainability reporting services.
- Drive commercial growth and generate new business opportunities with corporate clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with sustainability leaders, procurement teams, ESG departments, and corporate decision-makers.
- Lead and manage the sales personnel involved in selling consulting and advisory services.
- Support the positioning and commercialization of GREENIPATH ’s GHG accounting tools and reporting capabilities.
- Identify market opportunities related to Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reporting, CSRD, CBAM, net-zero strategies, and sustainability compliance.
- Work closely with management and technical teams to align commercial strategy with product and consulting capabilities.
- Monitor market developments, competitors, regulations, and emerging trends within carbon accounting and ESG reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in business development or commercial leadership within GHG accounting, carbon footprint calculation, ESG software, sustainability consulting, or climate-tech solutions.
- Experience working for a recognized provider of carbon accounting or sustainability reporting solutions.
- Deep understanding of GHG Protocol, Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions accounting, carbon reporting frameworks, and sustainability compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of generating revenue and developing new business within sustainability-related services or software solutions.
- Experience managing sales teams and driving commercial performance.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capabilities.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.

- Ability to operate effectively in an international and fast-growing environment.
