Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Carbon Credit Sales professional at EigenCarbon. The role involves sourcing, qualifying, and managing relationships with corporate buyers, traders, and financial institutions interested in tokenized carbon credits. Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining EigenCarbon’s products and vintages, structuring carbon credit and token transactions, preparing proposals, and guiding clients through the purchase and retirement process. The Carbon Credit Sales professional will collaborate with the product and operations teams to align offerings with market needs, gather feedback, and support platform enhancements. Additional activities include maintaining an active sales pipeline, contributing to go-to-market strategies, and representing EigenCarbon in virtual meetings, events, and industry forums.

Qualifications

  • Strong Sales skills, including prospecting, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing in B2B or institutional contexts.
  • Finance and Credit knowledge, ideally with exposure to carbon markets, ESG products, or other structured financial instruments.
  • Experience or familiarity with Trading environments, including digital assets, commodities, or carbon credits.
  • Customer Service skills with a focus on relationship building, clear communication, and responsive client support.
  • Understanding of climate, carbon accounting, or sustainability concepts, or a strong interest and willingness to learn quickly.
  • Comfort working with web3 tools and platforms (e.g., Ethereum wallets, DeFi protocols) or readiness to develop these skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote, fast-moving startup or growth-stage environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
